Locally Served Produce
Our bacon is from Claytons Butcher's on compston road. The pigs are reared in Cumbria and the meat is dry cured at the shop.
Our Cumberland sausage is from the local butcher Freddie Garside on North Road and is made in the traditional way arriving to us in a coil.
Our eggs are free range and come from Bannerigg Farm in Windermere
Our tomatoes and mushrooms come from the local wholesale grocers and for most of the year come from producers in Lancashire
Our tea and coffee comes from Farrer's Tea and Coffee merchants in Kendal, they import tea & coffee from responsible companies and blend the teas and coffees to suit our soft water. There is a Farrers Tea & Coffee shop in Kendal town centre, where you can purcghase all the traditional tea and coffee products.
We try to use locally produced preserves as much as possible
Malcom prepares and cooks all our breakfasts to order, as this helps to cut our food waste to a minimum which helps the enviroment.
